“Standard installation” isn’t fine print to us — it’s a checklist. Here’s exactly what every EZE install covers, and the handful of things that make a job non-standard.

Included in every install
Six things, every job, no exceptions.
A dedicated, protected circuit
Your charger gets its own circuit from the switchboard with compliant RCD/RCBO safety protection — installed to AS/NZS 3000 and Energy Safe Victoria requirements.
The cable run for your tier
The distance you choose in the estimator (beside the switchboard, up to 5 m, or 5–30 m) is the cable run included in your price, routed through wall cavities, roof spaces or subfloors.
Mounting the charger
Wall or pole mounting of your SEVR charger, positioned where you want it within the quoted cable distance.
Testing, commissioning & handover
Full electrical testing, charger commissioning (including app setup on smart chargers), and a walkthrough so you drive away knowing how everything works.
Certificate of Electrical Safety
A COES is issued on completion — your proof the work is compliant, and a requirement for insurance and warranty.
A tidy finish
Cable runs clipped or concealed neatly, work areas left clean. Most standard installs are done in 2–4 hours; the simplest in 1–2.
The pricing logic
One variable moves the price: distance.
Every standard install includes everything above. The install price simply follows how far the charger sits from your switchboard:

Prices include GST and the Certificate of Electrical Safety. Charger hardware, cables and solar/battery integration are added in the estimator at the same transparent prices.
The honest assumptions
“Standard” assumes reasonable access.
Your quoted price holds when:
- Safe, unobstructed access to the switchboard and charger location
- Cable routes accessible through wall cavities, roof spaces or subfloors
- Working heights reachable by standard ladder access (up to 3.6 m)
- A switchboard with adequate capacity and compliant protection
- No trenching, civil works or specialist access equipment required
Your switchboard photos tell us most of this before we quote — which is why the fixed price we confirm rarely moves.
When it’s more than standard
Non-standard work is quoted, never sprung.
Switchboard upgrades
If your board is full, non-compliant or lacks capacity, we quote the upgrade separately before anything proceeds.
Trenching & civil works
Getting power to a detached garage or carport across open ground needs trenching, priced per metre once we see the run.
Difficult access
Scaffolding, elevated work platforms, confined roof or subfloor spaces, or concealed structural barriers.
Unsafe or non-compliant wiring
If we find pre-existing electrical issues, we pause, explain, and quote the fix — nothing extra happens without your approval.
If anything non-standard turns up on the day, work pauses, you get a variation quote, and nothing proceeds without your approval on site. The full detail lives in our terms and conditions.
